Epson L8050 / L18050 — PVC card printing setup

1. Install the printer driver

Download the driver for your exact model and Windows version from the maker’s website: Epson India support — drivers ↗. After installing, print a Windows test page once to make sure the printer works.

2. Windows Printing preferences

  1. Install the Epson L8050 / L18050 driver for your Windows version (32 or 64 bit) from Epson and load the PVC cards in the ID-card tray as shown in the printer manual.
  2. Switch the printer on. Open Windows → Printers & scanners (Devices and Printers) → right-click your printer → Printing preferences.
  3. Set these options in EPSON L8050 Series — Main tab:

  4. More Options tab: Reduce/Enlarge Document must be OFF. Click OK.

3. Settings in Print Perfect Ai

  1. Set these options in Print Perfect Ai → App Settings → Printer & output:

    Select Paper Printer Name

    Print darkness
    Dark (raise if the print is light)
  2. In this layout X Offset moves the card up the page and Y Offset moves it right.
  3. Both sides: the software prints the front, asks you to turn the cards over, then prints the back.
  4. Print looks light? After clicking Print Card, use “Printer preferences (Windows)…” in the print preview to choose a photo / glossy paper type and High quality, or raise Print darkness.
  5. In the software click Print test card. If the print sits a little off the card, correct it with X Offset / Y Offset (mm) and print again — the values are saved.
